Inpatient Substance Use Disorder

Ridge Recovery Center – Adult Substance Use Disorder Services

The Ridge Behavioral Health System has long been a leader in the addictions treatment field. The Ridge Recovery Center (RRC) is designed to serve adults over the age of 18 diagnosed with co-occurring disorders. We specialize in the treatment of adults diagnosed with both mental health and substance abuse disorders. In our continued efforts to provide the best possible care for our patients, we have extended the length of our Ridge Recovery Center program to up to 28 days so patients can transition from initial detoxification and stabilization to Inpatient Rehabilitation at The Ridge. For those in need of detoxification, The Ridge Recovery Center provides detox services for withdrawal from alcohol, benzodiazepines, opiates and other substances.

The Ridge Recovery Center utilizes Recovery Dynamics as the clinical foundation of the new extended program. Recovery Dynamics is a researched method of treatment for alcoholism and addiction. This new, enhanced program offers a clear and concise explanation of the 12-step program and is uniquely presented in a goal-oriented format that guides each individual to an understanding of the “problem,” the “solution” and the “plan.” The RRC offers semi-private rooms.

Our multidisciplinary treatment team includes licensed therapists, registered nurses, board-certified psychiatrists and certified recreation therapists all trained in the Recovery Dynamics Model. All RRC services are reimbursable by Medicare, traditional Medicaid (ages 18-20 and 65+), Medicaid MCOs (all ages), and other insurances with precertification.

The Treatment Program at The Ridge Recovery Center

Treatment at the RRC focuses on utilizing the Recovery Dynamics Model to build a foundation for recovery in a program geared toward acquiring coping strategies that promote self-esteem and personal responsibility. The RRC program model utilizes:

  • Individualized treatment plan
  • On-site Alcoholic/Narcotics Anonymous
  • Group therapy
  • Substance use disorder education
  • Coping skills development
  • Family education/therapy
  • Relapse prevention groups
  • Recreational therapy
  • Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) group
  • Opiate detox

Medication-Assisted Detox

The Ridge Recovery Center also addresses the needs of individuals struggling with the use of heroin and other opiates. We provide medication-assisted detox to promote recovery with benefits that can include:

  • Less discomfort during withdrawal
  • Reduced cravings
  • Better results following treatment
  • Successful abstinence from drugs

Our inpatient, medically supervised detoxification program can help patients stay safe and comfortable as they start on the road to recovery with the help of physicians, registered nurses and clinicians specialized in addiction medicine. Prescribed medications, including buprenorphine, can help manage withdrawal symptoms and prevent relapse.
