Treatment Considerations
for Eating Disorders
Participants of this training will:
• Gain an understanding of eating disorders as an adaptation to
stress
• Receive updated information about changes in the DSM-V related to
eating disorders.
• Describe the tenets of emotional brain training as well as the
five basic tools for the process.
Medical Assessment of Child Abuse: The Forensics
Participants of this training will:
• Be able to recognize the common presentations of inflicted injury
in children
• Be able to describe the mechanism of some common inflicted
injuries in children
• Be able to name two examples of mimics of child physical abuse.
• Be able to understand the importance of evaluating children with
bruising.

CEU Information:
If needed by any of the attendees, application for 5 contact hours
(CEU’s) will be submitted for Nurses, Social Workers, CADC’s,
LMFT’s, and LPCC’s. The Ridge has been granted approval of its
continuing education in nursing by the KY Board of Nursing. KBN
approval of an individual nursing continuing education program does
not constitute endorsement of the program. Attendance to the entire
program and completion of program evaluation required for contact
hour credit.
