About the Presenter: Janice Gabe, LCSW, MAC is the President of New Perspectives of Indiana, an outpatient treatment center in Indianapolis, IN. She has been working in the mental health and substance abuse treatment fields for over 25 years and is a sought after trainer/consultant. This full day workshop is essential for professionals providing services for youth. Recognizing and managing highly volatile and difficult teens will be discussed. The fundamentals of value based family therapy and helping families through the process of change by teaching parents how to establish, implement, and reinforce core family values will be explored. Specific interventions to address the motivation behind four common disruptive behaviors students display will also be reviewed.

CEU Information:
If needed by any of the attendees, application for 6 contact hours
(CEUs), will be submitted for Nurses, Social Work, Psychology, KY EILA, CADC,
LPCC, and LMFT. The Ridge has been granted approval of its
continuing education in nursing by the KY Board of Nursing. KBN
approval of an individual continuing education program does
not constitute endorsement of the program. Attendance to the entire
program and completion of program evaluation required for contact
hours.
