THE RIDGE YOUTH EATING DISORDERS PROGRAM

Patient and Family Orientation

The admission intake process ends and clinical programming begins when the patient has been formally admitted to The EDP. The core program will be explained to the family or guardian at the time of admission. After the formal admissions process, program staff will provide information to patients and parents/guardians as follows:


1. General rules of the program.
2. Rules governing patient conduct

    and possible consequences for

    infractions
3. Rights of patients.
4. Approved clothing list.
5. Rules regarding phone calls and

    visits.
6. Consents for medical care and

    treatment.
7. Expectations for family

    participation in the treatment

    program.
6. Criteria for discharge.
7. A program schedule.
