The Ridge Children's Unit offers specialized treatment to children ages 5-11 who are experiencing severe emotional or behavioral problems.

Our newly expanded, state of the art, Integrity Geriatric Unit offer specialized treatment for Older Adults who are experiencing severe emotional or behavioral problems.

The Ridge Recovery Center offers detoxification, stabilization and inpatient stabilization for adults struggling with chemical dependency or co-occurring disorders.

Admissions & Referrals

It starts with a phone call. When you or someone you care about is in crisis, it is hard to know what to do. The Ridge offers free assessments to make recommendations for mental health treatment–and guide you to the next step. If you–or someone you care about–needs help with alcohol, drug addiction or emotional problems, call The Ridge.

The Ridge accepts referrals 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from individuals, family members or professionals.

The Ridge accepts payment from Medicare, Medicaid (inpatient for ages 5-20 and over 65) and most commercial insurance and managed care plans. The Ridge will assist in obtaining pre-certification from insurance carriers for the appropriate level of care. Click here to view our Fee Disclosure.

The following information will be helpful when making a referral for services:

  • Patient Information (Name/Address/Phone Number/Date of Birth/Social Security Number/Custody and/or Guardian Status)
  • Reason for referral
  • Treatment History
  • Current outpatient treatment provider
  • Previous psychiatric or chemical dependency treatment
  • Primary Care Physician
  • Insurance Information

Documents to bring to assessment (if accessible):

  • Insurance card(s)
  • Social Security Number
  • Custody Papers (if appropriate)
  • Current Medications

Belongings for inpatient treatment:

  • 3 complete outfits (please remove all strings)
  • 2 sleep outfits
  • 3 pairs of underwear
  • 3 pairs of socks
  • 1 pair of shoes (please remove shoe laces)
  • 2 bras (under wires not permitted)
  • 1 heavy coat (in winter months)
  • 1 one-piece swim suit (in summer months) If this is unavailable, a dark shirt and shorts can also be used.
  • All toiletry items will be provided by The Ridge
