ABOUT US
It starts with a phone call. When you or someone you care about
is in crisis, it is hard to know what to do. The Ridge offers free
assessments to help determine what is neededand guide you
to the next step. If youor someone you care aboutneeds
help with alcohol, drugs or emotional problems, call The Ridge.
The Ridge accepts referrals from professionals, as well as by self
or significant others. These assessment services may be accessed
by phone, walk in, or professional referral. Referrals can be made
24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The assessment team, comprised of mental health professionals,
provides the evaluation. The goal of an assessment is to provide
the patient and/or referring parties with accessible and comprehensive
recommendations for treatment.
Following the assessment, a recommendation will be made to the
appropriate level of care based on each persons individualized
clinical needs. All assessments are reviewed with a physician for
appropriate treatment recommendations. You, your family and the
referring professional, if appropriate, will play an integral part
in deciding what services are most appropriate for your circumstances.
If the physician recommends admission, the Assessment and Referral
team will assist in obtaining pre-certification from commercial
insurance or managed care plans for the appropriate level of care.
Admission to an inpatient program may be voluntary or court-ordered.
The Ridge accepts payment from Medicare, Medicaid (under the age
of 22) and most commercial insurance and managed care plans. The
business office staff will provide benefits counseling and payment
planning.
